8 units in 5 months! Overpass Cranes sets a new installation and delivery record in the Indonesia Juwan project!
Release time:
Jan 04,2026
Recently, TQCC achieved a key breakthrough in the installation work of the Indonesia Juwan Project, Shandong Xinfa Group's first overseas aluminum electrolysis strategic project. TQCC efficiently completed the installation of all eight overhead cranes in just five months, entering the commissioning phase. This not only set a new record for the company's installation speed for similar overseas projects but also earned high praise from Shandong Xinfa Group.

Since construction began on August 2nd, the TQCC overseas installation team traveled 4,000 kilometers to the project site in Indonesia, where they faced multiple extreme challenges far exceeding their expectations. The construction period was extremely compressed; the installation cycle for one piece of equipment in a typical domestic project is about one month, while this overseas project required the intensive installation of eight pieces within five months. Cross-border communication and coordination were fraught with obstacles, and the living conditions were extremely unfamiliar. Adding to the challenges were Indonesia's humid and hot climate and the harsh working environment during the rainy season. The local daily average temperature was consistently above 35°C, and the humidity was as high as 80% year-round. The hot and humid air was like a "steamer" for the construction workers, and their sweat soaked through their work clothes and quickly turned into salt stains. The rainy season began in September, with daily rainfall often exceeding 100 millimeters, making every step forward a "tough battle."

At the project site, the team worked around the clock in shifts, with multiple disciplines such as mechanical and electrical engineering collaborating and multiple installation sites operating simultaneously. On August 26, they successfully completed the installation and delivery of the first overhead crane, achieving a key milestone. However, facing the approaching production deadline set by the owner, the reality of only completing the installation of two units by the end of September, and the rigid requirement to deliver two more units by the end of October to ensure power supply to the workshop, the installation task remained arduous. Faced with what seemed like an "impossible task," the installation and commissioning team did not back down. While strictly adhering to safety standards, they quickly optimized and adjusted the installation plan, launching a "24-day extreme sprint." The project manager led the team for up to 72 hours without rest, and the main construction personnel averaged less than 4 hours of sleep per day. Ultimately, they achieved the power supply milestone on schedule, saving valuable time for the owner to smoothly put the project into production.
By the end of December, the remaining four units were completed on schedule under a rapid-fire installation schedule. The TQCC team, with their tenacious spirit of overcoming challenges and fulfilling contracts, earned the respect and admiration of all parties on site. The successful completion of this installation task not only provides solid support for the implementation of Shandong Xinfa Group's overseas strategy, but also marks a crucial leap for TQCC from "equipment export" to "the overall export of technology, standards, and services." The TQCC team's breakthrough and overcoming of challenges in extreme environments demonstrates "Tianqiao speed," accumulating valuable experience for complex overseas projects and injecting stronger confidence and momentum into the company's efforts to deepen international cooperation and expand overseas markets.
